Is a long period of low temperature requiredin order to insure blooming?

   The Luoyang tree peonyneeds to go into a short period of dormancy inwinter to insure blooming for the next spring.Usually a period of 30to 45days withtemperature between 32to 41degree Fwouldbe sufficient for blooming.The lower thetemperature the shorter period it requiresfor dormancy.
